Clarity and absence of noise
Clarity is not a decision you make. It is the natural state that remains when the interference of the conditioned mind is removed.
Clarity
The Myth of Confusion
You think you are confused. You think you don't know what to do.
"Should I take the job?"
"Should I leave the relationship?"
"What is my purpose?"
Confusion is a lie. Confusion is a smoke screen you create to hide the truth you don't want to see.
Deep down, you almost always know the answer. You know the job is wrong. You know the relationship is dead. You know what you want to build.
The Cost of Knowing
The problem is not that you don't know. The problem is that the answer scares you.
The clear answer usually requires a sacrifice. It requires a difficult conversation, a loss of status, or a leap into the unknown.
So, you manufacture confusion. You pretend you need more data. You ask for advice. You make pros and cons lists. You create noise to drown out the signal.
Clarity is Subtraction
You do not "find" clarity. You reveal it.
You reveal it by subtracting the fear. You subtract the need for approval. You subtract the attachment to comfort.
When you remove the conditions, "I want the truth, but only if it's safe", the truth is blindingly obvious.
Seeing clearly
A sovereign adult accepts the cost of clarity.
He looks at reality without flinching. He sees things as they are, not as he wishes them to be. He does not need the world to be comfortable; he only needs it to be real.
When you stop negotiating with the truth, the fog lifts. The path is right there. It always was.
