Privacy Policy
Welcome to Maray.ai, a web design and development company dedicated to delivering exceptional digital solutions. This privacy policy outlines our practices concerning the collection, use, and protection of your information. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ePrivacy policies.
1. Data Collection
There is no account here and no login. We do not ask for your name or your email unless you send one through the contact form. What the site does record is how it is used: which pages you open, how long you stay, and how far down each page you scroll. On two parts of the site only, /portfolio and the case study pages under /case-study, it also records an anonymous replay of the page as you move through it: scrolling, clicks, and cursor movement. Anything you type is masked before it leaves your browser and is never recorded. The full address of each page is recorded, including anything after a question mark in it, so avoid sharing links to this site that carry personal details in the address.
2. Purpose of Data Collection
Two tools are in use. Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, counts visits across the site. PostHog, running on European servers at eu.i.posthog.com, handles product analytics and the page replays. The reason for the replays is simple and worth saying plainly: this is a personal portfolio, and the owner wants to know which parts of the work people actually read.
3. Data Sharing
We do not share any user data with third parties. Your privacy remains intact while you navigate our website.
4. Data Storage
Analytics events and page replays are stored by PostHog on servers in the European Union and are deleted automatically after PostHog's retention period for this account. A single replay usually covers only part of a visit, because recording runs on the portfolio and case study pages and stops everywhere else.
5. User Rights
No account data is held, so there is nothing to log into and correct. You can still ask for anything associated with your visit to be deleted by writing to the address in section 8. You can also switch measurement off yourself: add ?ph_optout=1 to the end of any page address on this site and load it once. Analytics and recording then stay off in that browser. Adding ?ph_optout=0 turns them back on.
6. Cookies
PostHog sets a cookie beginning with ph_ that holds a random visitor id, so repeat visits can be counted as one person rather than several. Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics set their own cookies for the same counting purpose. Blocking them in your browser does not break the site.
7. Data Protection Measures
[This section intentionally left blank as specific security measures were not provided.]
8. Contact Information
For any questions or concerns about your data or our privacy practices, please feel free to contact the website owner at ayk@maray.ai. We are here to address any inquiries you may have.
9. Updates to the Policy
Given that Maray.ai does not collect personal data, users will not be notified of changes to this privacy policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any updates.
10. International Data Transfers
PostHog data, including the page replays, stays on European servers. Google Analytics is operated by Google and involves a transfer to the United States. If that matters to you, the opt-out in section 5 stops both.
By using our website, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this privacy policy. Maray.ai is dedicated to ensuring your digital experience is secure, private, and tailored to your needs. For further information or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at ayk@maray.ai.
